Many pesticides lose effectiveness when used in alkaline water, which is common in western NC and many other areas. PH 48 increases wetting and spreading abilities and provides more uniform coverage. It also increases absorption and aids in the translocation of insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, miticides, and defoliants. Usual use will be 8-28 ounces per 100 gallons of solution. A pH level of 4.5-6 is the most desirable range. Add to water before adding pesticide.
