Red clover is a great and inexpensive way to reduce endophytes and increase the nutritional feed value of your pasture.
Red clover is a strong multi-cut clover that can be described as a short-lived perennial that produces vigorous spring and summer growth. It prefers well-drained fertile soils that are neutral to slightly acidic. Dynamite is less fibrous and more digestible for livestock than other red clovers and is an erect, fine-stemmed, early flowering, high-quality cultivar that has been a widely used, proven performer for a long time. It is used for pasture, hay, or silage production. When used as a cover crop it will return around 100 pounds of nitrogen per acre to the soil.
This common tall-growing short-lived perennial legume with leafy stems. It improves the texture and fertility of the soil. It is used for hay silage overseeding to fill in bare spots in pastures and fields or in a crop rotation plant where you are allowing an area to lie fallow.
The red flower makes for a beautiful field.
