Mesotrione provides post and preemergence control of annual broadleaf weeds in corn and several other crops.  Mesotrione is a selective herbicide. It is absorbed through the roots, leaves, and shoots of plants, and represses photosynthesis in susceptible plants. It is the same active ingredient found in MesoTryOne 4L, Cavallo 4SC, Bellum, Meso Star, Tenacity, Instigate, Meristo, Risicore and Callisto.  Why pay more for a brand name?  Mesotrione is a selective herbicide.
