The active ingredient polyoxin D zinc salt is derived from a natural fermentation process, and controls plant pathogenic fungi by inhibiting the formation of chitin, a vital component of fungal cell walls. When OSO comes into contact with pathogens, it stops early growth and colonization, so disease cannot spread to new plant tissue.
